About The Epstein Papers

Our Purpose

The Epstein Papers is a research platform built to make the documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice fully searchable and accessible to the public. Millions of pages of court filings, financial records, correspondence, law-enforcement files, and other materials have been published as part of ongoing transparency efforts. This site organizes those documents so that journalists, researchers, and members of the public can find what they need quickly and efficiently.

Data Source

All documents hosted on this platform originate from official releases by the United States Department of Justice. The primary source collection is available on the DOJ website.

justice.gov/epstein

Documents are ingested in their original form, processed through optical character recognition (OCR) where necessary, and indexed for full-text search. No content is altered; redactions applied by the DOJ remain intact.

How the Site Works

  • Search -- Full-text search across every document in the archive. Results are ranked by relevance and can be filtered by dataset, file type, or date range.
  • Annotations -- Registered users can leave annotations on specific pages of a document, providing context, cross-references, or analysis that benefits the wider research community.
  • Collections -- Users can organize documents into personal collections for ongoing research projects. Collections can be kept private or shared publicly.
